Title Page - Filed: Application Filing Date |
This date is the actual filing date of the application from which the patent issued. If the application, during examination, did not go through a process, such as division or continuation, that may have affected its relevant filing date (for calculating the patent term), then the patent term is calculated from this filing date. When this date is after June 8, 1995, the term of the patent is 20 years from the application's filing date.
If this patent had issued from an original application, then because this application's filing date is before June 8, 1995, and the Patent Date is after, this patent's term would have been calculated as the greater of 20 years from this date, which would have been June 7, 2013, or 17 years from the its Patent Date, which would have been September 24, 2013. The latter would have been its termination date. However, the application from which this patent issued is a division of a prior-filed application, and so its term is calculated from that application's filing date.
